Homemade natural cleaners!
I’d like to be able to say that we make all our own natural cleaners but I have to be honest and admit that we’ve struggled with making our own! We’ve had some success especially with simple recipes. For instance, baking soda is good for cleaning pans and vinegar is great at getting limescale off the taps.
Living in Bulgaria, there’s not a great variety of manufactured eco friendly products available but there are some available in the larger supermarkets in the city.
If you have some home made recipes that work, we’d love to hear them.

Some simple recipes for making your own.
Natural All purpose cleaner
Fill 1/3 spray bottle with white vinegar.
Top up with cold water.
Add 10 drops of tea tree oil.
Wash down your surface with warm water.
Spray with cleaner and wipe off.
Add 100mls of this cleaner to a bucket of hot water for the floor.
Great if you can leave it for a little while. Tea tree is a great antiseptic and vinegar will clean 99% of bacteria and germs.
Limescale cleaner for taps
Soak cloth in 50/50 vinegar/hotwater.
Place cloth over limescale on taps.
Leave 1 hour and scrub with an old toothbrush.
Spray a 30% vinegar mix straight on to the taps and leave for 5 mins – this also seems to do the trick.
